10 ANTIQUE 1896 JAPANESE GIRLS DAY HINA NINGYO DOLL / in Original Boxes / LOT

Ten Japanese Girls Day dolls
brought from Kyoto, Japan. Still in their original (dated) storage boxes. They were carefully taken care with each one having its gosho (powdered oyster shell) face covered with a tissue while stored. (2nd & 3rd photos)
Included are assorted items the dolls would be carrying. Swords, bows, arrows, tea pots etc. The empresses hair has some issues. (close up last photo) Probably from the intricate metal head piece (Included) she wore when displayed. Dolls are shown front and back so their condition can be seen. Materials are silk except
for the lower rank dolls which look to be linen. These ones have some mildew spotting
.
Except for local pick up, these will be shipped in their original boxes. Two shipments may be the easier (least expensive) option.
