Description
Up for auction is an original First Printing concert/event poster for Bedrock One, a benefit for the Communication Company (publishers of the Diggers’ Haight-Ashbury neighborhood newsletters), held at California Hall inSan Francisco
, March 5, 1967. Participants/performers included the Steve Miller (Blues) Band, the San Francisco Mime Troupe, The Committee, poet and author Richard Brautigan, the Orkustra, Dino Valenti and others. Very good plus condition with some surface wear, corner and top and bottom center pin holes, and general wear. Overall, a nice, an uncommon and psychedelic early Digger event. A handbill for this event was designed by underground comic artist R. Crumb; an example of one of the handbills is pictured in The Art of Rock, page 177. Poster measures h-19 ¾ x w-13 5/8 inches.
