    Description

    This pair of Japanese wood nodder kokeshi dolls measures 3" high and 3" wide.  This cute kokeshi doll piece features 2 "Tanuki" or "Raccoon Dogs"!  Tanuki are often found in Japanese art and song, and especially in children's literature.  These Tanuki have Mahjong bodies, and they are carrying a couple items including a sake bottle.  The base still has the natural wood bark attached.  Please see below for flaws.
    This kokeshi doll piece is in good vintage condition - hard to find many flaws other than a small chip on one hat edge - and would make a great addition to your growing collection.  White areas are camera glare.
    Please remember that this is a vintage doll that may have minor imperfections, such as dust/dirt/dings/scratches/scuffs/age spots.
