    'Chorus' model Acoustic Gypsy Jazz / Django Guitar - Signed A. Di Mauro
    This
    model
    needs no introduction. The Chorus model is the flagship model by Antoine Di Mauro
    (1900-1976)
    , who was a famous luthier and had his workshop in Paris. His son Joseph continued the shop until 2001.
    This guitar looks partially restored. The fretboard with inlays looks entirely new. The nut is new. The S-shape
    sound holes
    have been reenforced from the inside. Unfortunately its previous owner had no information on the history of the guitar or who did the
    restoration.
    The guitar plays and sounds amazing with a lot of volume. It has a firm D-shale 3-piece mahogany neck. Mahogany back and sides. Solid spruce top. Period correct Delaruelle tuners. The tailpiece is old but I'm not 100% sure it's original. The rosewood floating bridge with moustache ends are installed later, as the original bridge must have been a height adjustable archtop-style bridge.
    No cracks or signs of repairs to be found. Just a wonderful vintage guitar with a nice patina. A case is included in the sale.
