Antique 1850-1860 Parlor Guitar. Civil war Era. This guitar was made either in the US or in Europe probably by a German immigrant. It has Martin type headstock and bridge that Ive seen on early martins it's not marked. The back is tight grain wavey maple. Top is spruce. It has original brass tuners with bone tuner buttons . One gear is replaced . I do have the original gear that's is stripped on 3 teeth. There is a crack on the back that has been glued but is not even. Also the headstock has had cracks repaired. The action is high at .160 at twelfth fret. I didn't want to attempt a neck reset because I have not tried a ice cream cone heel. I'll leave that for an expert. It sounds great and plays nice up the neck for chords. Intonation is off would need a new bridge to correct .Please ask questions.
