Thanks to an arched ABS back, this ukulele has more volume in its middle range than your average soprano, while also resonating more freely and sounding brighter. Additionally, it is durable and resistance to changes in humidity–a primary concern with wooden ukuleles.
The TUSL-EE uses laminate linden wood for the sound board. Linden is characterized by a bright sound and sleek texture It also allows us to print this colorful mountain sunset design on the sound board without compromising the sound quality of the instrument.
The neck and fingerboard are made from ABS plastic. It is a perfect solution for entry class ukuleles, since it is not prone to any weather changes. You will never get a sharp fret or bent neck in any of our Travel ukuleles. The neck surface imitates the wood pattern, to avoid a feeling of cheap plastic.
Zero fret paired with unique bridge construction keeps the string action low and intonation on point. Since the plastic is never going to move, you will never have to deal with any additional work on the saddle.
Rounded back construction of this uke made adding a strap button a real necessity, so that it would not slide against your chest.
This uke is strung with Aquila Sugar strings. Aquila Sugar strings are a recent invention from a material that derives from sugar. They present the best of both worlds between the sweetness and tone of nylon strings and the brightness and power of fluorocarbon. When we first played these strings, the sustain from them left us speachless and so it would have been criminal of us not to spoil you and use these for this special release.
Headstock design is an integral part of our identity. The headstock veneer is made of linden to match the top and features Elise Ecklund’s signature along with the colorful gradient of the sunset to tie the design together.
The final touch that the Travel Ukulele needed was a cool gig bag to accompany it on your travels. We chose the blue denim colour to compliment your style and also to make the bag stand out from the standard black that everyone else seems to favor.
Flight have redesigned our start-up booklet to help you on the road to future ukulele fame. It is packed with all the necessary information needed for a quick start including chord charts, strumming patterns and tabs for an original song by Elise Ecklund! They also include a cool sticker pack from Flight.

We strive to earn 100% satisfaction with every customer. Because of this we allow returns for up to 30 days with few conditions. If you are not satisfied, contact us for a Return Authorization or use eBay’s Return System. Then simply return your item in original condition. You pay return shipping. Shipping fees are not refundable. If your item featured Free Shipping, we will deduct our shipping costs when refunding your purchase price. If you have questions, please contact us. Items returned in less than original condition may be refused or charged a restocking or damage fee, up at 15%. There is no fee for returns of defective products, and we pay shipping for the return of defective items. A few items are not eligible for return.
State Sales Tax:
Virginia residents must pay 5.3% sales tax on the total order (including shipping/handling). Others may be required to pay sales tax directly to your state or local treasurer. Check your local laws.

We stock what we sell. This means most items paid for by Noon Eastern-Time (Monday - Friday, excluding U.S. Federal Holidays) are shipped the same day. In the event that an inventory mistake occurs, we'll contact you to find a solution.
USA Shipping:
Most items are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service. We may choose other shippers at times. Priority Mail delivery averages 2-3 business days. First Class delivery takes averages 2-5 business days. We always use delivery confirmation services and upload tracking information when your order ships.
Combined Shipping Discounts - We combine weights of orders to reduce your cost. Discounts apply only when you pay for all of your items at the same time. Does not apply for FREE Shipping listings.
International Shipping:
Due to lost packages and other shipping problems, we restrict the list of countries we ship to. When we do ship to International destinations we offer USPS First Class shipping as a lower-cost option, but we strongly recommend the use of package tracking services. USPS First Class International does not provide reliable tracking to the destination. If you choose USPS First Class International shipping, delivery can take several weeks and is not guaranteed by us.
We do not collect or track taxes, tariffs, duties, or other import fees which may be assessed when your order arrives. You are responsible for all taxes, tariffs, duties, and import fees. Please consider these costs before placing your order. By law, we must report the purchase price on customs declarations forms.
