The sweet-toned, nylon-stringed ukulele originated in the 19th century in Hawaii. It gained great popularity in the U.S. during the early in 20th century and from there spread internationally. Ibanez is pleased to offer variety of models, including those with electronics.
The Ibanez UEWT14E features a cutaway tenor-style EW body made with an ovangkol top and ovangkol back & sides. The UEWT14E also sports a cozy mahogany neck, a rosewood fingerboard & bridge, and a set of high-quality Grover chrome open-geared tuners with black knobs. Ready to take on any performance, the UEWT14E comes fitted with an Ibanez under saddle pickup and an Ibanez UK-300T preamp with a built-in tuner. Other features include an open pore natural finish, ivory binding, a maple rosette, and maple dot fretboard inlays. Case not included.
