A set of Anesama Dolls from Matsue in original box
Showa era (1970s)
Traditional paper dolls with origins among samurai families in the Edo period. Each doll represents a phase of a woman's life. Anesama also have tree distinct hairstyles: Shimada, Mamoware and Okappa.
Minor wear from use and storage over the years.
