Japanese Hina Dolls (Ningyo) in celebration of Hinamatsuri (Onna No Ko No Hi) Festival aka Dolls Festival aka Dolls Day marking the beginning of the 2nd Season (Joushino Sekku aka MoMo Nu Sekku) aka Peach Season starting on March 3rd.
Dolls are to be displayed in ancient court costumes (hina ningyou) on a Hina don platform to protect the girls, ensure that they have healthy and prosperous lives as well as luck with a good marriage.
This Odairisama Royal Couple are made of ceramic bisque and are hand painted.  The beautiful crane kimonos are orange and gold.  Pants are green.  Artist signed on bottom along with sticker marked HD5204.  Emperorer measures 6 1/2” tall, 2 1/8” deep, and 4 1/4” wide.  Empress measures 5 3/4” tall, 2 1/2” wide, and 1 7/8” deep.
Condition is Pre-Owned and AS IS.  No cracks or chips.  Please review all photos thoroughly.
