    Description

    Japanese Ichimatsu antique Japanese doll believed to be Showa period.  She is dressed in her original kimono.  The kimono is hand stitched, not machine made.  Lovely doll, no chips or scrapes.  Lovely hands and really great feet.  This is the nicest Japanese doll I have seen with great hair and expression.  "Used" but in excellent condition. 15 inches.
    The body is papier mache torso with attached cloth legs and arms.  Legs and arms are a flash colored composition from just below the elbows and knees.  This gives her "joints".  Her underskirt which goes from her knees to her ankles is a tan and gold stripe.  The owner I bought her from told me she was given the doll as a girl just back in the 1930's and it was old then.  Don't know much more about her.
