An explanation-free legendary ukulele made by David C. Hurd in Hilo, Hawaii. Since he was also a scholar, he measured, designed and made a well-balanced ukulele with no dead points and a ukulele with a neck that does not warp.
In addition, the time-consuming 0 fret is adopted, and tuning, stability of sound quality, and improvement of durability are aimed at.
This ukulele is a tenor 8-string ukulele made in 1993. It can also be used as a 4-string ukulele with only the normal 4-string stretched.
The body is a Hawaiian koa veneer with a strong wood grain, the neck is also a Hawaiian koa, the fingerboard, bridge and nut are ebony, the position mark is Avalon, and the saddle is beef bone. The peg comes with a luxury model of Grover.
The strings were replaced with Worth strings C8.
It has been remove discoloration on the pegs, oil up the fingerboard, clean the frets, clean the entire painted surface, and apply a glass coat.
The neck looks straight and the string height is 12 frets, about 2.5mm (0.09") on the G string side and about 2.3mm (0.09") on the A string side.
There are weather checks and marks, but there are no cracks. There is some deformation of the Top plate.
The volume is perfect, and the balance and sustain of all positions are just a few words.
It's been about 10 years.
