Born in Gunma Town, Gunma Prefecture in 1948
1987: Received the Minister of Education Encouragement Prize for his work 'So' at the National Modern Kokeshi Exhibition.
1999: Awarded the Prime Minister's Award for "Harukaze" (Spring Wind) at the All Gunma Modern Kokeshi Contest.
2007: Awarded the Prime Minister's Award for "Yoko" at the All Gunma Modern Kokeshi Contest.
2008: Awarded the Prime Minister's Award for "Blue Wind" in the All Gunma Modern Kokeshi Contest.
2012: Awarded the Prime Minister's Award for 'Nanpu' at the All Gunma Modern Kokeshi Contest.
2012: Awarded the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award for "Wind Induction" at the All Japan Kokeshi Contest.
2013: Awarded the Prime Minister's Award for "Winter Morning" in the All Gunma Modern Kokeshi Contest.
2019: Received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award at the All Japan Kokeshi Contest.
