Large Vintage Japanese Cloth Geisha Doll 16" Tall w/ Shamisen instrument

Description

Large Vintage Japanese Geisha Doll holding a Shamisen instrument. Her outfit is silk materials with a wonderful obi on her back. She has a cloth body, hands, feet and face. Her feet are in the style called 'lobster feet'.  Her face and features appear to be hand painted. . The doll stands approx. 14.5 " high and is mounted by metal fasteners onto the wooden base that measures approximately 6"X 4.5" and 1/2" thick.
Her clothing is beautiful sill in black red and cream.  She is very old.
