A mahogany neck with walnut fingerboard provides stellar playability and response, great for exploring new and interesting uke chord patterns up and down the neck, as well as finger-picking or flat-picking. The Tribal Mahogany Uke's design is based on traditional Hawaiian body ornamentation — entwined guardian spirits with contemporary updates. There are also traditional Pacific carvings intertwined into this really mesmerizing design, and you will spend a lot of time studying it just as we did here at Sweetwater!
Artistry meets function
Luna was co-founded by Yvonne de Villiers, an accomplished stained-glass artist who wanted to design instruments that captured a unique artistic vision as well as great playability. The design on the Tribal Mahogany is representative of that vision and is a truly unique visual delight.
