    Description

    Original circa 1920s Stella 12-string guitar, built by the Oscar Schmidt Company in Jersey City, New Jersey. Back then Stella was about your only choice for a good 12-string, and were the favored instruments of Leadbelly, Barbecue Bob, Lonnie Johnson and Blind Willie McTell. In more recent decades, Leo Kottke, Stefan Grossman.
    The lower bout of the body is 14 ¾” across, while the upper bout is 10 ¼”. It is just under 4” deep. The overall length of the guitar is 41 ½”. Weighs 3.5 pounds.
    Should be restored by a trusted professional if you want to play it.
    Has wear and some damage to the back and a bit in the front. Original label and original tuners. Comes with hard case.
