Item Details
A lovely set of vintage Sanpei kokeshi dolls.
There are some scratches and marks, along with other signs of wear, but in very good condition for their age.
Please check the photos carefully before purchasing.

Height: 20cm, and both 8cm/ 7.9" and both 3.1"
Weight: 204g, 57g, and 59g
Yamanaka Sanpei was born in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture in 1926. He studied in the faculty of engineering at the university of Yamagata, but his professional career has centered around his two passions: photography and sosaku (creative) kokeshi dolls. He has received many awards for both his photography and his kokeshi, including the Prime Minister’s award in 1979.
