Mr. Kaihei Katase, a 91-year-old Kokeshi doll craftsman living in Hakone Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, is still an active Kokeshi doll craftsman and continues to use an iron array to train his body. Kokeshi dolls made by Mr. Kaihei Katase have been presented to the imperial family and he has been awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon as well as other numerous famous awards. He is particularly particular about digging out the eyes of the kokeshi dolls.
Note: We sell the merchandise at other sites. We check the inventory often but sorry if the item is already sold out.
