    Description

This is a PHOTOCOPY of one of the earliest mail order patterns I have ever seen. This is a VERY RARE pattern that dates to the 1930s. She is wearing a dress, bloomers and beret. He is wearing a shirt, trousers and beret. These dolls measure about 17" tall when complete. Both dolls are cut from the same pattern with separate instructions for their hair and clothing. The construction of the dolls goes like this: the bodies are cut as one piece (arms, legs and torso); the face is a flat piece; the back of the head has two pieces stitched together on a center seam, which gives the head a fuller, more realistic feeling; for the feet, there are darts at the ankles, and then soles are slip stitched on; their facial features are embroidered on. I include a black and white copy of the instructions and the complete pattern for both the dolls and their clothing. Please email me with any questions that you have.
