    This Listing is for Set of 2 Usaburo Japanese 7.5"H BRIDE & GROOM Kokeshi Wooden Dolls wearing traditional Japanese Wedding gown.
    The groom and bride kokeshi dolls are approx. 7.5 inches tall
    The black wooden stand is approx. 8.25"L x 6"W
    The folding screen is approx. 8"W x 7"H when display
    This duo of Kokeshi represents an adorable couple dressed in traditional wedding clothes. The clothes of smiled muko (future married man) are a sober hakama (wide pants) and a motsuki (jacket). The miko (future married woman) wears a beautiful white kimono with long sleeves called shiro muku decorated with cranes. She is wearing a tsunokakushi, a white silk hat surrounded her hair bun.

    About Kokeshi:
    Kokeshi (こけし kokeshi), are Japanese dolls, originally from Tohoku-northern Japan. They are handmade from wood which are Mizuki or Kaede in Japanese, suit for making dolls.
    Kokeshi have a simple trunk and an enlarged head with a few thin, painted lines to define the face. The body has their special hand-painted design, and covered with a layer of wax.
    One characteristic of Creative Kokeshi dolls is their lack of arms or legs, and is formed by the free and unrestrained imagination of an individual artist.
