    Description

Vintage 1946 Gibson L-50 F-Hole Archtop Acoustic Guitar w/ Case Crown Inlays
Welcome! Right now, you are looking at a absolutely stunning guitar.
This is a 1946 Gibson L-50 F-Hole archtop acoustic guitar.
It weighs 4 lbs 6 oz. The scale length is 24 3/4", and the nut width is 1.73".
The L-50 was Gibson's most popular acoustic archtop ever, produced from 1932-1971.
Very easy to hold -the woods here have aged naturally, blessing us with a very responsive instrument, excellent natural projection.
The perfect balance of warm natural acoustics coupled with articulation.
Featuring a solid carved spruce top, and figured maple back/sides. Some nice grain in there - check out all the pictures.
A solid one piece mahogany neck housing a bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.
It's in nice condition for a near 80 year old guitar. The neck is straight, and the frets are clean, with a fresh setup.
Plenty of vintage mojo, this guitar sings a story.
Typical marks/scratches, and a small area on the waist under the pickguard where the binding has slightly separated.
Gorgeous figuring in the maple back/sides - please see all photos for a better visual description.
Everything is original aside from the tailpiece.
It includes the hardshell case in the pictures.
The gold slanted Gibson headstock logo dates this to the mid '40s, specifically a transitional time before it became the "Banner Logo", in 1946.
Now one of the best parts aside from its playability, tone, and just beauty -
these are the Gibson crown/trapezoid inlays used on the holy grail of guitars - the '59 Les Paul!!
Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a true player's guitar, a piece of Gibson history with this 1946 L-50.
    Thanks for looking!
