    Description

    This is a very light weight little carving, 5" tall and 4" wide. Depth about 1.5" Subject of the carving is a warrior on a horse, painted in subdued colors, with some gilt accents. This is a family estate piece, and belonged to a gentleman who traveled extensively and had a large collection of beautiful Asian objects. The tag on the back is as found , displayed in his office. An appraiser looked at it and didn't offer a value, but said she believed it was originally a piece of a larger carving with several similar figures, and was mounted on the base it's currently in when separated from the larger piece.  Shipped 1st class package, 7 oz.  Will upgrade to USPS Priority if notified before making payment.
