  • Condition: “Beautiful example of a vintage late 1960's era guitar. Obviously it is used but like my other guitars I looked after it very well during the many years I have owned it. Since bringing it fromEngland to the USA with me it has been stored in the hard shell case you see in the pictures and has only been brought out in the house occasionally to show friends. The Eko has onlybeen cleaned with Gibson guitar polish, the same cleaner I've used on all my guitars. Please see the photos for precise condition which you can judge for yourself. To summarize; Playswonderfully and sounds great both acoustically or plugged in and amplified. The action is set very low. Amazing condition for it's age but you can see a small crack in the top close to thebridge which has been there since I've owned it and a few tiny dings on the tail. The plug is a bit loose but I will not take the strings off to tighten it because the new owner will choose thenew strings anyway.”

    Description

I purchased this guitar in Ipswich, England in 1970, I'm English that's why I was there. This Eko worked extremely well for me because I primarily played a Gibson Les Paul. The Eko has the same low action and same wider, shallow neck as the LP which makes it so comfortable and easy to play if you are spoiled by the soft touch of an electric. NOTE: if you play an acoustic harder than I do, it will be extremely easy to adjust the action using the screws on the bridge to raise the action.
The guitar will come to you in the hard shell SKB case it's lived in for most of the past 50 years and has traveled internationally in. It's the perfect case because it's snug without stressing the guitar at all.
I'm hoping for a local buyer who can pick-up the guitar
to ensure it remains safe and sound,
plus there would be no shipping cost involved
    .
Please look at the photos to see the condition in detail. I will mention that the only real flaw is a short closed crack in the top of the guitar close to the bridge.  This was present in 1970 when I purchased the guitar and has not changed since that time. The pickup jack plug is a little loose.
I restrung the guitar on 7/7/18 with Martin SP 80/20 Bronze .011s so it would enjoy being restrung again by now.
Thanks for looking and I hope you find what you are looking for.
