Vintage Okinawa Japanese Doll. Includes a paper telling the story of Issun-Boshi “Little One Inch” and his travels in his soup bowl. Made by the Shuri Women’s Handcraft Club in Torihori-Cho, Shuri, Naha.
Doll is detailed and colorful and sits in a 4” soup bowl holding a chopstick. Look at the detail on the hands! Doll has no noticeable flaws.
Purchased in 1970 in Okinawa.
