Description

This is a Showa (c, 1950's)  Japanese
Samurai sword stand
made of 1o pieces of hinoki wood with a black laquer finish.  It is perfect for an Japanese sword be it tachi katana or wakuzashi.
It measures 25" tall (64 cm) with a base 10" long by 8" wide (25 x 20 cm) standing on four risers (see picture 19) .
Having been in storage for over 70 years with the exception of minor signs of past use, it remains in
