I recently retired and have decided to fix up older guitars to sell. I buy guitars from eBay looking for high-quality woods and well-known guitar makers , many of them come from estate sales and storage lockers, but also from pawn shops. I take the guitar apart completely and fix what is broken. I take the nut off of the truss rod and lubricate it and replace plastic nut and plastic bridge with bone or tusq. I attempt to do a cosmetic repair. Many times the cosmetics are somewhat lacking due to the age of the guitar. Most of these instruments are 1970s through 1990s. I enjoy the work and hope you will enjoy the results.
